Rainwater is beneficial to cleaning stainless steel. The fixtures for outdoor applications, (decorated or directional) should therefore be oriented in such a way as to facilitate the draining of water. We learn what not to do. - wipe out a dry cloth

- aesthetic requirements of the building
What to avoid?
In any event, the carbon steel abrasives should be avoided to clean stainless steel. Here is a few of the carbon steel abrasives: wire wool or materials containing chlorides.
